What are the responsibilities and job description for the Historic Photo Archive Data Entry Intern position at UChicago Argonne, LLC?
The Creative Services team maintains the historical photo collection for the Lab and is working to digitize the images to make identification and retrieval faster, more accurate, and efficient. The intern will be responsible to perform daily tasks as listed below but not limited to:
- Work with hard copies of various indexes, reference photos, Argonne publications, and other archival reference materials.
- Identify, cross-reference, and capture key relevant data surrounding Argonne images.
- Enter data into database.
- Make copies of reference materials.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled full-time at an accredited institution and have completed at least one semester of schooling by the start of the program.
- Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.
- Completed freshman year of college and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- If accepting an offer, must pass a screening drug test.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Data entry skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to operate an office copy machine/scanner.
- Highly motivated and self-starter.
- Excellent organizational and written skills.

HourlyThe expected hiring range for this position is $19.85-$25.81.Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as, but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, business considerations, internal equity, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
