UChicago Medicine and AdventHealth formed a joint venture called UChicago Medicine AdventHealth. AdventHealth is a faith-based, fully integrated health system with 53 hospitals in nine states. The University of Chicago Medical Center is a nationally ranked academic medical center located on the South Side of Chicago. It is the flagship campus for The University of Chicago Medicine system and was established in 1898.
UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is comprised of four (4) hospitals:
- UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Hinsdale founded in 1904 is located just 36 miles west of downtown Chicago, and serves DuPage, Will and Cook Counties. The hospital is a Level II trauma center and the only teaching hospital in DuPage County.
- UChicago Medicine AdventHealth LaGrange is a Level II trauma center located just 15 minutes west of Chicago and serves approximately 15,000 residents in Cook and DuPage Counties. Founded in 1955, the hospital was purchased by AdventHealth in 1998 and is recognized as an Orthopedic Center of Excellence.
- UChicago Medicine AdventHealth GlenOaks was founded in 1980 and is a Level II trauma center serving residents in DuPage County. 61 of its 143 licensed beds are dedicated to psychiatric/ acute mental health services. The hospital is home to a therapeutic day-school.
- UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Bolingbrook began as a free-standing emergency room. In 2008 it opened its doors as a full service, 138 bed, Level II trauma medical center serving Will and the surrounding counties.
THE POSITION
The Chief Strategy & Clinical Integration Officer (CSCIO) serves the Great Lakes Region as the key Regional Leader in the following areas:
- Market Research (Business Analytics, Data, Predictive Modeling)
- Strategic Planning (Portfolio Management)
- Business Development (Revenue Growth)
- Service Line Development, Growth and Integration (Vision and Capital Deployment)
- Marketing and Branding (Regional and Local Community Focus)
- Foundation
The CSCIO, organizes, directs and evaluates the activities and functions of assigned departments ensuring compliance with the mission of UChicago Medicine AdventHealth. He/she provides leadership and direction in ensuring the efficient, economical, and effective utilization of system resources to meet the identified goals of the Great Lakes Region.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Business or Health Services Administration or equivalent transactions experience
- Ten (10) years’ experience in a senior management position is required
- Seven (7) years in healthcare
Qualified candidates will demonstrate:
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills including decision-making, team building, motivation and conflict resolution
- Strategic vision with the ability to consistently achieve goals utilizing data driven decision making
- Strong financial acumen including budgeting, analyzing and planning
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- In-depth Service Line optimization and expansion experience
- Skills in building positive medical staff relationships
