Position Title: Human Plant Sanitation Technician FLSA Status:Non-Exempt

Reports To: Production Superintendent

Scope: All aspects of Human Plant (HP) sanitation.

Essential Duties:

· Responsible for completing sanitation activities within HP, including facility housekeeping, and equipment cleaning and sanitizing.

· Responsible for using the 3-sink sanitation process to set up sanitizing process to clean direct contact parts, utensils, and equipment.

· Responsible for proper storage, handling and issuing approved cleaning chemicals in the HP facility.

· Responsible for inventory of consumable items and supplies such as gloves, lab coats, beard nets, sanitizing soaps, bags, and other items used in processing. Notifies the HP Supervisor when new supplies are needed.

· Following Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times.

· Must follow 5S protocol and be familiar with definitions to maintain work area.

· Responsible to report any and all, major or minor food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.

· Promote food safety and quality awareness throughout the organization.

· Assist with other projects or duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

· Ability to lift 55 lbs on an as needed basis.

· Follow LOTO procedures, safety rules and Company policies.

· High school diploma or GED or 1-2 years diversified cleaning experience.

· Ability to stand for long periods of time.

· Ability to work a flexible schedule.

· Ability to wear PPE (including gloves, respirator etc.) when required.

· Occasional bending and or stooping to perform certain tasks.

· Must have strong communication skills both written and verbal.

· Ability to follow printed instructions.

• Perform in a manner consistent with Company Vision/Mission Statement and Core Values.
• Trained on Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions identified on master training log.
