Salary & Compensation
- UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. - Knowledge of State, Federal and University of California laws, rules and regulations as applicable to the police function. (Required)
- Thorough knowledge in the following areas: First Aid/CPR, campus streets, buildings, and parking lots, general law enforcement procedures, vehicle laws, use of firearms. (Required)
- Able to observe situations analytically, impartially, and objectively, and to record pertinent information accurately and completely. (Required)
- Carries a firearm. (Required)
- Must be a US citizen or have permanent resident alien status and achieve citizenship within three years. (Required)
- Must have no felony convictions. (Required)
- Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to interact with a diverse community. (Required)
- Excellent ability to use computer devices and programs and other modern law enforcement technologies and tools. (Required)
- Thorough understanding of modern policing issues, philosophies, practices and trends applied within the University environment. (Required)
- Meet all other requirements for peace officers as established by law and the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training, including possession of or ability to obtain a POST Basic Certificate. (Required)
