19384DescriptionThe Santa Monica Hospital is seeking to hire a Per Diem Dietitian to join the Department of Nutrition. You will provide medical nutrition therapy to patients in specialized areas such as cardiology, med / surgery, GI, renal, organ transplant, liver disease, neurology, head / neck, oncology, and critical care. You will also work at Ronald Reagan in Westwood as needed but will be mostly stationed in Santa Monica. Responsibilities include : Assessment, documentation, implementation, monitoring and reassessment of patients' nutrition care plan. Conduct nutritional assessment, diet calculation, and the provision of medical nutrition therapyConduct patient education, malnutrition / NFPE. Provide ongoing education to patient and / or family membersChart in EPIC and use ComputationPlease note this is a per diem position.Salary range : $45.98 / hr - $53.63 / hrQualificationsRequired :
- Certification as Registered Dietitian by the Commission of Dietetic Registration.
- At least one year of experience as a Registered Dietitian.
- Excellent computer and customer service skills.
- Strong knowledge in malnutrition diagnosing and NFPE
- Availability to work weekends and holidays.
- Ability to travel within Health System, including Santa Monica and Westwood. Preferred :
- Experience working in an academic setting.
