Description
Nursing Professional Development Specialist (NPDS), PediatricCritical Care is a registered nurse whose practice is clinical nursingeducation and who oversees required education, competency, training, andprofessional development for Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)andPediatric Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (PCTICU) in the UCLA Health system. Encompassesthe delivery of clinician (primarily nursing), professional / leadershipdevelopment, policies, activities, assessment tools, andsystems. Promotes excellence in patient care, through skill acquisitionin evidence-based nursing practice and clinicalinquiry. Collaborates with nursing leadership (Unit Director,Clinical Nurse Specialist, and Nursing Professional Development Specialists) todeliver educational programs and secure resources based on needs assessmentsand adult learning theory. Meets the diverse requirements of thenursing units, patient populations, regulatory and accreditation and strategicgoals of the organization / health system.
Salary Range : $124,600 to $289,400 Annually (budget = $135,720 - $197,775 depending on paid professional experience)
