DescriptionThe Animal Care Supervisor 2 will conduct or assist with routine, emergency and critical veterinary care and animal husbandry activities for clinical or laboratory animal patients. May be involved in conducting or assisting with research and teaching projects. They will supervise and direct daily operations of the assigned animal research facilities, ensuring that animals receive proper husbandry and care, and that the facility is in compliance with regulations and guidance set by the department, the campus and governmental agencies. They will also provide supervision and training for the assigned staff.
The Animal Care Supervisor 2 receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals. They will prioritize and complete on-going tasks independently following established departmental guidelines, University policies, and federal, state, & local regulations. They will recommend changes to department policies and practices as well as identify risks and respond accordingly.
Salary Range: $76,200 - $158,800 Annually
