The department of Surgery is seeking to hire a full time Project Policy Analyst to perform analytical studies on a variety of policies, projects, programs and issues in support of a function, research initiatives, program and / or organizational unit, or in research of new or changing systems and programs. In this role you would assist in policy and program planning, development, administration, management, and implementation; interprets, monitors and analyzes information regarding policies and procedures and provides consultative services to department administrators and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities of the role will consist of staff management, special project management and financial duties:
- Provides guidance to subordinates to achieve goals in accordance with established policies.
- Develops staffing plans to ensure goals and objectives are met and completed.
- Manages highly complex analyses across a broad spectrum of organizational and / or research programs, policies, and initiatives.
- Makes decisions on performance, salary actions, hiring decisions, and other human resources related issues of managed staff.

- Manages systems and procedures to protect departmental assets.
- Develops and coordinates policy communications; formulates strategies for education, analysis and implementation.
