We are seeking an experienced Staff Research Associate to support critical experiments by determining optimal experimental procedures. In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Isolation of protein, RNA, and DNA
- Execution of maxiprep, miniprep, restriction digest, and plasmid electrophoresis
- Production of lentiviral vectors and cell transduction
- Conducting experiments using animal models of lentiviral transduction
- Handling BSL2 replication-competent viruses (e.g., HIV-1, Zika virus)
- Processing samples from non-human primates in BSL2 settings
- Collaborating closely with team members on large-scale experiments
- Assisting with inventory management, ordering, and stocking of laboratory supplies
- Managing chemical and biohazard safety
- Supporting Principal Investigator with IBC and ARC applications and approvals
- Orienting new colleagues (Post-docs and students)
- Proofreading manuscripts where listed as an author
- Maintaining cleanliness in lab and office spaces

Salary offers are determined based on various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, and equity. The full hourly salary range for this position is $28.88 - $46.46.
