You’ll drive operational efficiency, financial sustainability, and strategic growth within this research-focused academic department. This will involve managing an annual budget of more than $45 million as well as a team of 58 faculty members, 133 staff, and a cohort of clinical and research residents and fellows. The role requires a seasoned leader experienced in managing the operations and finances of an academic department in a large, complex academic health organization.
You will be accountable for:
- Overseeing the financial health and operational effectiveness of the department.
- Developing and maintaining a robust infrastructure in support of our academic and research missions.
- Providing leadership across financial operations, research administration, academic affairs, educational programs, facilities management, and compliance.
- Leading, managing, and directing an exceptional team of top performers.
- Fostering strong collaboration between internal and external stakeholders
- Driving initiatives that enhance departmental efficiency and align with institutional goals.
Job Qualifications:
We’re seeking a highly driven business and administrative executive with:
- A master’s degree in business, healthcare administration, public health, or a related field.
- Seven or more years of progressively responsible managerial and supervisory experience.
- Five years of supervisory experience, with at least three or more years as a senior leader over a large clinical department or service line.
- Expertise in financial/budget preparation and operational management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives.
- Exceptional leadership, planning, and change management skills.
- Solid background within a highly matrixed organization.
- Proven success in financial planning, analysis, and decision support.
- Strong diplomacy and influencing abilities.
- Outstanding analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to establish a culture of integrity and accountability.
- Strong judgment and decision-making abilities.
Salary Range: $102,500 - $227,700/Annually
