Join our Venice Family Clinic and make a difference in the community as a Program Manager for Special Projects. The Program Manager will report to the Director of Program Management and will receive guidance and direction from the Chief Operations Officer. In this role, you will provide leadership and support in the development, implementation, and maintenance of special initiatives and projects for our Venice Family Clinic.

Other Key Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the organization’s current priority and special projects, including construction or renovation projects, diabetes program, general medical program, and related projects to support effective operations and substantially transform the quality of care provided to our community.
  • Facilitating the development, implementation and maintenance of key projects to support achievement of Venice Family Clinic's strategic goals.
  • Serving as project manager and facilitator across the organization, working closely with internal and external stakeholders of projects.
  • Gather information/data and preparing reports to evaluate project and/or program effectiveness.
  • Managing a portfolio of multiple, multi-faceted projects.

Salary offers are determined based on various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, and equity. The full salary range for this position is $68,800 - $141,000 Annual. The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is about $68,800 - $80,000 Annual.

Senate Bill 525 was signed into law by Governor Newsom in October 2023. Starting June 1, 2024, SB525 sets a new $23 minimum wage for nonexempt healthcare workers and raises the exempt employee salary threshold to $1,380/week (equivalent to $5,980/month or $71,760/year).

  • As defined under SB525, healthcare workers are defined as employees who are involved in the provision of “health care services,” which means “patient care-related services including nursing; caregiving; services provided by medical residents, interns, or fellows; technical and ancillary services; janitorial work; housekeeping; grounds keeping; guard duties; business office clerical work; food services; laundry; medical coding and billing; call center and warehouse work; scheduling; and gift shop work; but only where such services support patient care”.
  • Employees (career, contract, student, per diem) in the UCLA Health medical facilities (e.g. Ronald Reagan Medical Center, Santa Monica UCLA Hospital, Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, etc.) meet these criteria.

Qualifications

Required

  • Advanced degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Public Policy or related field OR the equivalent in a combination of education and experience
  • Work experience in program and/or project management.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio).
  • Strong interest in Health Information Technology and the ability to master a practice management system, electronic health records, population management software, and other reporting systems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of people of various educational and socio-economic backgrounds and with clear and concise oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with physicians, clinic staff, patients and volunteers.
  • Ability to function efficiently and independently, and to plan and prioritize daily work activities to meet goals and objectives.
  • Ability to travel between clinics and community organizations.

Preferred:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience with program or project management within healthcare, construction, and medical care program management.
  • Previous experience in a community clinic setting.
