In this exciting and rewarding position, you will provide exceptional nursing care in our Ambulatory Surgery Center. This position involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of dedicated professionals to develop and implement a care plan for our patients, including providing detailed care instructions. Incumbent may be required to travel between Community Ambulatory Surgery Center sites as needed based on staffing requirements.

Experience:
OR RN Role:
BSN or MSN Degree, required.
Current State of California Nursing license, required.
Current BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, required.
Minimum 2 years of Circulator RN experience in a Hospital or Ambulatory operating room, required.
Minimum 1 year experience as a Surgical Scrub RN, preferred.
Ability to float between Community ASC sites as needed to support staffing needs, required.

Ability to complete a Nursing physical assessment
Skill in developing a plan of care including setting goals, monitoring and documenting progress
Ability to implement interventions that are pertinent to goals established in the plan of care
Ability to evaluate the effective of interventions toward the attainment of established goals and to recognize the need to reassess or reset goal parameters
Ability to delegate tasks in a management style that is consistent with promoting leadership and teamwork
Knowledge base to provide education to patients, families, and other staff regarding clinical and patient care issues
Skill in reading and interpreting comprehensive medical/surgical procedures and making them easily understood by patients and families with appropriate vocabulary

Demonstrated strong organizational skills to facilitate an extremely busy and demanding office environment

Knowledge in the use of EMR.
Ability to travel between all perioperative areas/SPD when necessary.
Demonstrate knowledge in all areas of care specific to surgical service lines and continuum of perioperative care, including conscious sedation.
Knowledge of cardiac monitoring and ability to identify dysrhythmias.
Ability to push, pull, and lift 50lbs.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to wear radiation protective lead apron for prolonged periods of time.
Experience circulating and/or scrubbing the following service lines preferred: General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT, OB/GYN, Interventional Pain, or Podiatry
Experience with administration of moderate sedation
Experience with circulating and/or scrubbing Endoscopic GI procedures
Experience in PTU/PACU/MPU
