As the Senior Clinical Laboratory Specialist for Regulatory Affairs, your primary duties will include :
Providing leadership, support, and expertise for the CLS student program, continuing education and CLS career track programs, department staff orientation, and the safety program.
Leading training sessions to promote compliance and quality excellence.
Reviewing quality data, proficiency testing activities, and validation plans.
Providing technical reviews for the laboratory and UCLA Health.
Conducting assessments and audits.
Developing and implementing new policies, processes, and procedures.
Investigating nonconforming events to identify systemic issues.
Analyzing data trends for risk management and process improvement.
Maintaining quality system essentials across multidisciplinary laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with licensing, accrediting, governmental, and credentialing agency requirements.
Salary Range : $60.71 - $78.17 / hour
Qualifications
Current, valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license.
Bachelor's degree.
At least 2 years of experience in quality assurance and compliance-related activities, plus 4 years as a licensed clinical laboratory scientist.
Expertise in deviation management and corrective action implementation.
Proficiency in project planning and implementation.
Strong experience in writing procedures and reports.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Must pass the Ishihara Color Vision exam, i.e. visual acuity including color differentiation.
