Description
A Clinical Care Partner is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability under direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. This role provides support to the GI Team by maintaining inventory, including chart supplies, patient educational supplies, and daily unit supplies. Responsibilities include performing basic patient care skills, following infection control practices, assisting in transfers and transporting patients before and after procedures, cleaning gurneys, and preparing gurneys. Additionally, Clinical Care Partners will assist with Scope transfers between the Scope Processing room and procedural areas. Within the scope of practice, the Clinical Care Partner takes vital signs, transports specimens, transports GI scopes, and cleans scope bins. They report any pertinent information to the Registered Nurse.
