Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience in communications, public relations, or media, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Required)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (Required)
- Experience working on a variety of social media platforms. (Required)
- Proficient MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills. (Required)
- Interest in the social and legal issues impacting the LGBTQ community. (Required)
- Demonstrated experience working with senior-level staff on organizationally complex projects. (Required)
- Strong reading comprehension, including the ability to translate complex research for broad audiences. (Required)
- Superb editing and proofreading skills, including the ability to identify and correct errors in spelling, grammar, and punctuation. (Required)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team structure. (Required)
- Versatility, flexibility, and an ability to work creatively within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. (Required)
- Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. (Preferred)
- Experience with website content management system, such as WordPress or Drupal (Preferred)
Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Required)
