What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Staff Coordinator position at UCLA?
Under the direction of the Director of Facilities, the Facilities Coordinator is tasked with overseeing all reservations, departmental events, and external rentals. This position offers essential administrative support to the Facilities team and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. UCLA Athletics manages a range of facilities, including the J.D. Morgan Center, Acosta Training Center, Jackie Robinson Stadium, Easton Stadium, Wasserman Football Center, Mo Ostin Basketball Practice Facility, Spaulding Field, and sections of Pauley Pavilion, Los Angeles Tennis Center, Drake Stadium, Spieker Aquatic Center, and the Gifford Golf Building. A significant aspect of this role involves assisting with managing both internal and external events organized by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. In addition, responsibilities include help managing 20 PTE student workers, which entails training, scheduling, and managing venue reservations for athletic and recreation facilities, reception desk, the department's mail and copy room, and related equipment. General office support tasks include assisting with access requests, purchase orders, invoicing, and work orders submissions, contributing to the smooth operation of the department.

Qualifications
- 1 – 2 year experience in colligate or professional athletic facility management is preferred (Preferred)
- Skill in performing multiple tasks with frequent interruptions and/or distractions; including ability to perform a variety of tasks involving walking, climbing stairs and ladders to heights greater than 12 feet, stooping, crouching and carry up to 50 lbs (Required)
- Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction; including ability to prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner. (Required)
- Skill in organizing material, people and information in a systematic way to optimize efficiency. (Required)
- Ability to interact with persons from a variety of social and cultural backgrounds; including ability to establish and maintain a cooperative working relationships and effective communication with other staff, students, administrators and University personnel and public. (Required)
- Ability to supervise staff, organize work flow, delegate, train and review work. (Required)
- Analytical skills to evaluate financial and other information and resolve problems. (Required)
