Description The department of Surgery is seeking to hire a full-time Project Policy Analyst to perform analytical studies on a variety of policies, projects, programs, and issues in support of a function, research initiatives, program and / or organizational unit, or in research of new or changing systems and programs. In this role, you would assist in policy and program planning, development, administration, management, and implementation; interpret, monitor, and analyze information regarding policies and procedures, and provide consultative services to department administrators and other stakeholders.Responsibilities of the role will consist of staff management, special project management, and financial duties : Provides guidance to subordinates to achieve goals in accordance with established policies.Develops staffing plans to ensure goals and objectives are met and completed.Manages highly complex analyses across a broad spectrum of organizational and / or research programs, policies, and initiatives.Makes decisions on performance, salary actions, hiring decisions, and other human resources-related issues of managed staff.Manages systems and procedures to protect departmental assets.Develops and coordinates policy communications; formulates strategies for education, analysis, and implementation.Researches and summarizes best practices in the field. Manages teams charged with implementation.Develops and advocates solutions to system issues, including developing and implementing new systems, policies, processes, and programs.Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, unit and / or customers or external stakeholders.Responsible for administering the budget for managed function / initiative.Ensures delegated projects remain on time and on budget.Pay Range : Qualifications Master’s degree in public health or similar field or a combination of equivalent years of education, training, and experience.Minimum 5-7 years of research experience in community-based and academic medical settings or similar settings.Strong methodological background in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with leadership, and lead and direct subordinates.Position requires interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively at all levels.Advanced knowledge of organization and research-specific computer applications.Demonstrated experience working on campus, in a medical center, or other university settings and various external venues.In-depth knowledge of policies, practices, and systems; human and other resource planning; client services-oriented; has good listening, critical thinking, analytical, research, and comprehensive project management skills.Ability to travel as necessary.Ability to work flexible hours and weekends, when necessary.#J-18808-Ljbffr
