Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Six months of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities (preferred)
Licenses and Certifications:
You must obtain the following certifications within specified timeframes:
- Self-Administration of Medication Training (within 90 days)
- First Aid and CPR Certification (as required by licensing agency)
- Department of Human Services Mandated Training Curriculum for DSPs in Illinois (within agency designated timeline or 120 days)
- Safety Care Behavior Intervention Training (within one month of hire)
Working Conditions:
