About the Role
Under the direction and supervision of the Life Skills Administrator/Adult Services Administrator, you will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities to help them achieve their personal goals and contribute to their communities. Your role will involve providing support and comfort, assisting with daily living tasks, and encouraging attitudes and behaviors that promote inclusion and independence.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and care to consumers in their daily living, social, and recreational activities
- Assist with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support consumers in achieving their personal goals and developing life skills
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless service delivery and coordination
- Document consumer progress and outcomes in accordance with agency policies and procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in related field preferred
- Minimum of 6 months experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, and safety care behavior intervention training required
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends, as needed
