Job Summary
As a Respite Provider, you will play a crucial role in supporting a teen and his family by providing support to his primary caregiver, so they may run errands, attend appointments, or complete other tasks.
This position involves delivering compassionate care to the teen in various settings, including the home and community environments. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, ensuring a clean and safe environment, maintaining confidentiality, communicating effectively with team members, having fun and creating a support network for the teen and his family.
Responsibilities
- Providing care and support to the teen and his family in need of respite services.
- Assisting the teen with daily activities such as following a morning or evening routine, making meals or snacks.
- Maintain confidentiality of the teen and families information.
- Engaging the teen in meaningful activities promoting their well-being and autonomy.
- Collaborate with family members and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in teen support, community integration, ABA, psychology or working with individuals with developmental disabilities, is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with the teen, family and other team members.
- Reliable and compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality support.
- Flexibility and ability to problem solve.
- 18 years or older (required)
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (required)
- Access to a reliable vehicle (required)
