Job Description/Summary:
The Decision Support Analyst will be responsible for providing strategic reporting and information to key stakeholders and hospital leadership. The Decision Support Analyst will analyze operational volumes, expense & service utilization, profitability, and the organization's competitive position in the marketplace.
Position Requirements:
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration or Business related field from an accredited college or university.
Minimum Experience: At least 2 years' relevant experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of financial modeling and analytic techniques. Knowledge of physician compensation models and Survey data. Proficiency in technical writing and graphical presentations. Relational database knowledge and experience working with large data sets. Knowledge of cost accounting, revenue, profitability data and the ability to explain to key stakeholders. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and re-establish priorities as necessary. Initiative and ability to work independently (self-direction), while thriving in a setting requiring. Collaboration and teamwork for maximum efficiency and effectiveness. Attention to detail that ensures follow through on initiatives implemented and projects undertaken.
Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of Crystal Reports and Access. Knowledge of Cognos database desirable not required. - Knowledge of healthcare coding (UB-92, ICD-9/10, CPT-4, HCPCS, DRG, etc.)
