What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN II - Diagnostic Imaging position at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland?
Job Summary:
The staff RN is a professional caregiver who follows the framework of primary nursing and assumes responsibility and accountability for the care and teaching of groups of patients/families for a designated time frame. The staff RN directs and provides care to these patients utilizing therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation and other team members.
Job Requirements:
Current California RN. license.
Current CPR card. Must be PALS certified.
(2) years of pediatric ICU or (2) years of pediatric recovery room or Diagnostic Imaging experience. IV compentency required within (30) days of employment with the hospital. Previous pediatrics experience a plus.
This position requires that the nurse be available to take "call" after-hours.

Sit: Up to 3 hours/day
Stand/Walk: 6-8 hours
Bend/Stoop: Up to 3 hours
Reach: Up to 6 hours
Rep use of UE/Grasp: Up to 6 hours
Lift/Push/Pull: 40lbs. or over 40# with assistance lbs. with assistance or equipment
Ability to comply with infection control and other safety policies.
