Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to bill all outpatient Medi-Cal and Medi-Cal managed care claims electronically and/or hard copy. Job Requirements: Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Minimum Experience: 5 years experience in a hospital patient accounting setting strongly preferred.# Medi-Cal working knowledge required.# Proficient in outpatient facility Medi-Cal managed care billing and follow-up, specifically Alameda Alliance.# Current working knowledge of Medi-Cal managed care regulations, state and federal. Knowledge, Skills # Abilities: Ability to sustain quick and accurate data entry in an electronic billing environment is required.# Must maintain 99% accuracy rate in data entry.# Proficiency in Medi-Cal billing strongly preferred. Ability to work under minimal supervision strongly preferred. Consistently performs job duties within required time frames while maintaining high degree of accuracy strongly preferred. Strives to carry out daily activities within appropriate ethical and legal standards in all relationships in accordance with Children#s Hospital Code of Conduct. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, discounts and percentages strongly preferrred.
