Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Social Worker to join our team. Help support UCSF Fresno Alzheimer & Memory Center. Provide evaluation and diagnosis for dementia in a multidisciplinary environment, culminating in a family conference and recommendations for care with information and referrals to community services. The overall mission of the Alzheimer & Memory Center is to promote advances in the care and management of those suffering from dementia through clinical diagnosis, family and community education, and research into both the biological mechanisms of dementia and the management of symptoms.

Requirements:

• CSW 1: Master's degree from an accredited school of social work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position
• CSW 2: Master's degree from an accredited school of social work, and possession of the requirements necessary for application for licensure as a clinical social worker as determined by the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Case management experience
• Interviewing skills
• Familiarity with DSM-5 diagnosis
• Basic knowledge of functional and social burdens of caregiving, and ability to give support to caregivers
• Interest in geriatric social work
• Basic knowledge of community resources in the local Fresno area – will acquire training and knowledge on resources in the wider service area of AMC

Preferred Qualifications:

• Social work experience in medical or clinical setting
• Experience in gerontology
• Basic cognitive testing training experience
• Public speaking experience
