We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our team in a distribution-focused company. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting financial decision-making by analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and offering insights to enhance business operations and profitability. The Financial Analyst will work closely with management and other departments to ensure the efficient allocation of resources and provide financial guidance to optimize operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for sales, margin, etc.
- Analyze financial trends, key performance indicators (KPIs), and financial results to aid in decision making around cost savings and revenue growth.

Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and track performance against budgeted targets while advising on potential corrective actions.
- Support forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business goals, and adjusting forecasts as necessary.

Data Analysis & Reporting Tools:
- Utilize advanced Excel, ERP systems, and Business Intelligence tools to analyze large datasets, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
- Implement best practices in data collection, reporting, and analysis to streamline processes and improve the overall efficiency of financial operations.

Stakeholder Communication & Support:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, operations, and logistics, to provide financial insights and support for decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
- At least 3 years of experience in a financial analysis role, preferably within a distribution, logistics, or supply chain environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and ERP systems (Power BI, Infor and/or Great Plains preferred).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with distribution-specific financial metrics and benchmarks.
- Experience with BI tools and buildout is a plus.
