Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children’s speech and language skills.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
- Provide direct therapy services to children in various settings.
- Collaborate with parents, educators, and other professionals to support the child’s communication development.
- Monitor and document progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate families and caregivers on techniques to support language development at home.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program required.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Therapy
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Virginia.
- Experience working with children, especially those with developmental disabilities, is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
