We are looking for a dedicated Cargo Securement Manager to join our team and lead efforts in maintaining the highest standards of cargo safety and securement.
As the Cargo Securement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of cargo securement and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Your role is crucial in ensuring that every load is safely secured, minimizing damage to goods, and preventing accidents on the road. You will manage a team of securement specialists, work closely with drivers, and implement strategies to continuously improve cargo handling processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cargo Securement Oversight: Ensure all cargo is securely fastened in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company standards.
- Compliance Management: Stay up-to-date with DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations related to cargo securement.
- Training & Development: Develop and deliver training programs for drivers and staff on cargo securement techniques and safety protocols.
- Equipment & Tools: Oversee the inspection and maintenance of securement equipment (e.g., straps, chains, tarps) to ensure functionality and safety.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of securement inspections, incidents, and compliance reports.
- Safety & Risk Management: Analyze cargo securement practices to identify risks and implement corrective actions to improve safety and minimize damage to goods.
- Collaboration: Work closely with drivers, logistics teams, and fleet managers to ensure efficient loading and unloading operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor industry trends and best practices to implement new processes and technologies to enhance cargo securement.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cargo securement, logistics, or trucking operations.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations, cargo securement standards, and best practices.
- Leadership: Proven experience managing or leading a team, with excellent communication and training skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve cargo-related challenges.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure compliance and safety at all times.
- Certifications: Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) and certifications in cargo securement (e.g., NACSS, Securement Specialist) preferred.
- Physical Demands: Ability to inspect cargo and securement equipment, and perform physical tasks as necessary.

Pay: $62,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
