Job Title: Director of Operations, Telemedicine Division
Summary:
The Telemedicine Division of UBMD Emergency Medicine, a dynamic and innovative group dedicated to expanding access to high-quality acute patient care through telemedicine, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Operations who will be responsible for the overall non-clinical success of the telemedicine division. The DOO will work closely with the Telemedicine Medical Director to build and maintain a strong market presence and to ensure operational efficiencies, profitability, and regulatory compliance.
A primary initiative for the DOO will be to collaborate with the MATTERS Network in the treatment of opioid use disorder (OUD). Also a division of UBMD Emergency Medicine, the MATTERS Network is a dynamic, multistate substance use referral program that connects individuals to treatment and harm reduction resources. The Telemedicine Division provides team members whose role is to evaluate patients, initiate treatment, and facilitate referrals to appropriate community resources for ongoing care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient workflows, resource allocation, and technology utilization. Continually evaluate and improve processes.
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, analyze financial performance, and implement strategies for revenue growth and cost control. Prepare financial reports and forecasts for leadership.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards in telemedicine practice. Stay abreast of changing regulations and implement necessary updates.
- Marketing and Sales: Develop and execute marketing strategies, represent the division at client meetings, and cultivate new business opportunities. Track and analyze performance.
- MATTERS Collaboration: Regularly meet and serve with MATTERS leadership to foster collaboration, alignment, and seamless integration between the two divisions. Ensure workflows and processes are synchronized.
- Communication: Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the division's progress, challenges, and opportunities. Collaborate on strategic planning and decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in healthcare operations management, preferably in behavioral health, telemedicine or a related field. Demonstrated success in financial management, compliance, and marketing.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven track record in building relationships, executing projects and closing deals.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong team management and project management skills.
- Exceptional technical skills with the ability to comfortably navigate and adapt to new computer software and technologies.
- Preferred background:
· Understanding of healthcare regulations and best practices. Experience with telemedicine operations is preferred.
· Familiarity with emergency medicine and/or behavioral health practices is a plus.
Job Requirements
· 40-hour average work week, in-person at our administrative office location
· Due to the nature of the program, actual hours per day/week may vary, including occasional evening/weekend/holiday hours when required to meet departmental needs
