Position Summary / Objective :
The LIHEAP Support Specialist is an essential team member who helps make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and families within an eight-county service area. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, verifying, and processing applications for critical assistance programs, including LIHEAP and LIHWAP. Your work will directly support the Community Services Program, ensuring that eligible individuals and households receive the help they need.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Administration
- Appropriately allocate time based upon actual time servicing respective Program.
- Receive, sort, process and quality check applications for LIHEAP and LIHWAP.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to requests for information from the general public and answer routine questions in a timely manner.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion with client information, including HIPAA compliance.
- Gather complete and appropriate information to complete data entry and process applications.
- Establish and maintain professional working relationships with Community Partners, clients (neighbors), vendors, and community resource providers in the eight-county service area.
- All other duties as assigned.

This is a full-time non-exempt position with standard hours of work / days Monday through Friday 8 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm.
