Overview

Under the direction of the Director/Manager and RNs, the Nursing Assistant Float Pool facilitates patient care by providing the basic physical care and nursing procedures, providing patients with comfort measures and maintaining a clean safe organized environment. We are searching for candidates who have at least 2 years of inpatient hospital nursing assistant experience. This is a PRN, Day Shift position.

As a Float Pool Nursing Assistant, you’ll play a pivotal role in patient care. Your compassion, empathy, and ability to anticipate needs will be critical. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Vital Signs and Communication: You’ll learn to take vital signs—blood pressures, blood sugars, and more. Effective communication with nurses and clinical staff is crucial. Your observations and insights contribute to the overall patient care plan.
  • Medical Equipment Proficiency: Operating medical equipment is part of your skill set. This experience serves as a stepping stone toward a deeper understanding of nursing practices. You’ll gain valuable insights into patient needs and treatment.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Post High School Special Training preferred

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Either minimum 2 years experience OR valid FL CNA license
  • BLS
  • at least 2 years of inpatient hospital nursing assistant experience highly preferred

Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
