Job Opening Summary
Performs diagnostic procedures, including ECG, pulse oximetry, rhythm strips and 24-hour Holter monitor hook-up. Hooks up and assists with stress testing and processing respiratory equipment as needed. Processes job-related paperwork. Enters charges for procedures performed. Assists in timely and safe supply processing and distribution of equipment. Ability to work flexible hours/shifts, inclusive of weekends and holidays. Attention to detail as it pertains to patients, procedures, equipment and supplies.
Job Opening Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Completion of EKG course preferred.
- Experience in performing EKG, 24-hour Holter and event monitoring desired.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Aptitude to work with mechanical devices.
Skills and Specific Job Knowledge:
- Effective verbal and written skills.
- An ability and willingness to function under the direction of the RCA supervisor an ALP to meet patient care needs in a dynamic work environment.
- An ability and willingness to work with patients of all ages and developmental needs.
- An ability and willingness to work with patients experiencing acute, chronic and complex disease processes, including those who are terminally ill.
- A positive attitude towards health care team members and diverse patient populations.
- Evidence of good physical and emotional health.
