What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiac Sonographer position at UF Health?
There are three cath labs at UF Health’s Leesburg Hospital and 1 Electrophysiology Lab. AN RN who is passionate about elevating their clinical skillset will truly value their professional experience they will acquire while working, as there are alot of complex interventional cases and structural heart cases. The Providers are excited about the field and love to share their knowledge with their staff. This is a close-knit Cath Lab where collaboration and teamwork is celebrated with state-of-art Cath Lab technology and medical devices. The Director is a servant-leader with 30 years of UF Health Leesburg experience and is dedicated to the success of her team and the people of her community.
Under the direction of the director/ cardio diagnostics supervisor, the cardiac sonographer performs routine and specialized echocardiographic studies inclusive of stress lab procedures. This is a Full Time, Day Shift position eligible for a sign on bonus.
The Schedule for this position is approximately four 10-hour shifts Monday through Sunday 7am-5pm. This position will be required to do on-call 10-12 days a month.
Qualifications:Education
Post High School Special Training
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Graduate of a Cardiac Sonographer Program
Registry eligible at the time of hire
RDCS or RCS Credentialing must be obtained within 12 months of hire date
BLS
Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required
One year experience preferred
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
