The Department of Surgery is home to five divisions; Acute Care Surgery, General Surgery and Surgical Oncology, Plastic Surgery, Vascular Surgery,and ENT. This Clinical Assistant position is specific to the Otorhinolaryngology or ENT department.
A professional multi-skilled person dedicated to assisting in all aspects of medical practice including administrative and clinical procedures under thedirect supervision and responsibility of a licensed physician.
Responsibilities
Assist with patient examinations or treatments.
• May perform scribe functions by documenting all provider/patient interactions in the medical record under the supervision and responsibility of alicensed clinician
• Observe and report patients’ signs or symptoms.
• Participates in performance improvement projects.
• Participates as an active care team member in the coordination of patient care.
• Provides a standard of excellence as it relates to customer service for patients, staff members, and other customers.
• Assists with test scoring
• Assists with report documentation
Qualifications
Bachelors Healthcare preferred
Additional Details:
Degree in medicine or other fields, with plans for career in dental, medicine, advanced medical practice, pharmacy, chiropractor, physical andoccupational therapy, or other allied fields.
****5 years of relevant work experience required****
Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire
