Overview :
In conjunction with Trauma Services, an Injury Prevention Coordinator is responsible for the planning and coordination of injury prevention activities for identified target populations. Develop, implement and evaluate injury prevention programs. Serve as a liaison to related agencies and personnel within the community. Established short- and long-term goals of injury prevention initiatives. Pursues external funding opportunities. Documents system-wide injury prevention activities.
Qualifications :
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements : Bachelor of science degree in a healthcare-related field required with preferred experience in Injury Prevention & Outreach role or similar, or current certification as EMT-Paramedic. Experience in trauma care preferred. Must have knowledge of public education, strong organization and planning skills, and the ability to work well with the general public. Must have experience in planning, organizing and implementing special programs. Experienced computer skills, in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Motor Vehicle Operator Designation : Employees in this position : Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a non-frequent driver NOTE : A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his / her personal or University of Florida Health automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his / her job. Licensure / Certification / Registration : BLS
