What are the responsibilities and job description for the ENGINEER SYSTEM I position at UF Health?
Overview :
Reports to the Manager of Technical Services. The Systems Engineer Level 1 must have a clear understanding of systems functionality and / or departmental processes as they relate to the supported system / application(s). Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills are required for interpreting and distributing documentation related to systems / application functionality, upgrades and enhancements. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering systems limitations. May be responsible for assisting with projects. Must be able to work both independently and as a team member in a solution-oriented, customer-focused environment.
Qualifications : Required Education :
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Education :
Associates Degree in an applicable field (Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, etc.).
Necessary Skills :
1. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely.
2. Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
3. Must have basic understanding / experience relative to PC's.
Required Experience :
One to three (1-3) years experience in an applicable technical field. Working knowledge of information technology processes.
Preferred Experience :
One (1) year or more experience with Windows Server administration, Backup solutions, Microsoft System Center, VMWare Virtualization, Microsoft Domain Services. One (1) year or more experience with Powershell, Python or other develops style scripting language.

Technical certification(s) related to the field or production technologies.
