Overview :
The Guest Service Specialist (GSS) under the direction of the Patient Experience Department, functions as a liaison between patients, families, visitors, and staff to facilitate the highest level of patient satisfaction. The GSS creates a positive impression through high quality engagement, assistance, proactive rounding, and customer service recovery. Orients and supports patients / families regarding hospital environment, amenities, and resources. This position is responsible for providing guests with patient and UF Health information, wayfinding, securing transportation, and knowledge of local lodging and amenities. The GSS supports the lost and found process, provides valet vouchers, and ensures a safe and clean environment. Proactively facilitates communication and problem resolution between unit staff, other departments, and the patient / family.
Qualifications :
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements :
AA degree preferred or 3-years customer service experience in healthcare or related service industry. Must demonstrate excellent verbal and communication skills and the ability to use a computer. Must be results oriented, able to teach and train others and possess excellent problem solving skills. Must successfully pass a FBI Level 2 screening for this position
