Days of Week: VARIABLE
Demonstrates a superior level of technical proficiency and problem-solving ability in such areas as (1) testing for blood group antigens, compatibility and complex antibody identification; (2) investigating abnormalities such as hemolytic disease of the newborn, hemolytic anemias and adverse responses to transfusion; (3) supporting physicians in transfusion therapy for patients with coagulopathies; and (4) providing compatibility testing and antibody titration studies for potential donor/recipients of progenitor cells, bone marrow and solid organ transplants. Performs serologic testing, component preparation and issue, computer documentation of work as well as quality control and preventive maintenance of equipment.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Must have a current Florida MT license or ASCP Certification as a Technologist in Immunohematology
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or equivalent that meets qualifications for licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist from the Florida Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel.
- Must meet state licensure requirements as stated in FL Statue 64B3-5.003 Technologist.
- One (1) year experience in NAACLS approved program OR one (1) year working as a Technologist in a hospital laboratory.
- Must obtain security clearance via an FBI criminal background check; if not, the position is automatically forfeited
