Overview
Serves as the principal financial leader for the Operations departments for UF Health Shands Hospital. Provides administrative, financial, operational and analytical support to the COO, Vice President of Operations and the respective divisions. Directly supports program growth that drives the financial and operational success of UF Health Shands Hospital. Must be able to work independently and creatively on any special projects assigned. Position responsibilities include strategic planning and data analysis, development of business plans (as needed) and project return on investment (ROI) analysis, and support of the position control process.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:: Masters degree in Business Administration and/or Health Care Administration preferred; a bachelors degree in business or a related discipline is required. Five or more years of progressive healthcare financial management experience, preferably in a major hospital system or academic medical center, is required. Past experience should include a strong and demonstrated proficiency in the knowledge and application of financial/analytical modeling; hospital operations; and conveying these financial/analytical skill sets to hospital leaders so that current and future hospital leaders understand the importance of, and the correct use of, financial systems, labor productivity management tools, capital processes and budgeting. Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a non-frequent driver Licensure/Certification/Registration:: N/A
