Job Description

The Emergency Department (ED) Technician plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care under the medical direction of the Medical Director and direct supervision of the ED attending physician.

Responsibilities:

• Provides direct and indirect patient care while adhering to hospital policies, procedures, and administrative guidelines.
• Collects pertinent data within their certification scope of practice and reports clinical and psychosocial findings to the RN and ED Attending.
• Supports the organization's mission of excellent patient care and nursing's vision of setting a new standard of excellence in autonomous and accountable nursing practice.

Requirements:

• Current certification as EMT-Paramedic in the State of Florida required.
• Specialty certifications: BLS; ACLS.
• One year Paramedic experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED, graduate from an approved Paramedic Program.

Motor vehicle operation is not required for this position.
