The UF Health Sleep Center provides diagnosis and treatment for a variety of sleep disorders under the direction of a multidisciplinary team of University of Florida College of Medicine board-certified sleep medicine physicians.
The UF Health Sleep Center is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). It is the only accredited AASM center in North Central Florida.

The UF Health Sleep Center is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). It is the only accredited AASM center in North Central Florida.
- The 12-bed Sleep Disorders Center, located at Magnolia Parke, operates seven nights per week and features state-of-the-art monitoring equipment. Individual rooms provide comfort and privacy to patients.
- The center interacts with a variety of physicians, including adult and pediatric pulmonlogists, neurologists, dentists, surgeons and sleep psychologists to diagnose and treat sleep disorders in adults and children.
- The polysomnographic technologist performs polysomnograms overnight. Administers oxygen and nasal continuous positive airway pressure and employs ventilatory assist devices in accordance with established protocols. Recognizes at risk events and notifies appropriate physicians
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Degree is preferred but not required.
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist certification (RPSGT) from the BRPT or the AASMs Registered Sleep Technologist certification (RST) is required.
- Will consider board eligible graduate of an accredited Polysomnography program and the applicant MUST pass board examination within 3 months of employment.
- Current CPR required prior to first day of clinical work.
