What are the responsibilities and job description for the PROVIDER POISON INFO-PRN position at UF Health?
Overview :
Assist the CSPI in accepting emergent telephone calls relating to known or suspected poisonings. Per operational guidelines, advise on treatment or triage case assessment to CSPI for definitive care. Participate in data collection efforts and public education programs.
Qualifications : Required Education :
GED or High School Diploma. Specific course work : Health oriented background. Able to interpret information resources and transmit that information understandably to both health professionals and the public.
Preferred Education :
EMT, LPN, C.N.A., pharmacy tech, nursing student or pharmacy student

Necessary Skills :
1. Must be familiar with basic aspects of pharmacology, toxicology, and clinical patient management.

4. Must be able to educate, prioritize, triage and communicate effectively with general public and health care professionals.
