Rep Lab Lead | Lab | FT

Overview

Performs specimen processing including lab test ordering, registration, and routing for a variety of laboratory clinical and anatomical pathology sections. Makes independent judgement decisions regarding specimen-related issues. Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, inventory management, and service of the laboratory automation line. Assess the competency of lab reps through regular evaluations and provide feedback for performance reviews. Ensure that lab reps are adequately trained and to perform their job duties. Functions as send-out specimen processor and coordinator for specimens sent to reference laboratories. Assists the reference lab technical specialist. Communicates effectively to all levels of lab staff and external customers via electronic medical record, laboratory information system, email, or telephone, for all aspects of the automation lines, specimen handling, processing, and routing.

Qualifications

Required Education : Associate's degree

Bachelor's degree in a natural health related science.

Required Experience :

3-5 years lab processing experience or equivalent

Preferred Experience :

Experience in a clinical laboratory
