The RN Educator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining clinical education programs for Flagler Hospital employees. This position delivers educational trainings using a variety of mediums while assessing employee training needs and performing ongoing evaluation of implemented programs.
Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and maintains clinical education programs for Flagler Hospital employees and members of the community.
- Develops unit-specific orientation programs, educational programs, and computer-based learning modules.
- Coordinates annual competency validation for staff.
- Coordinates student programs.
- Serves as a primary resource person for Flagler Hospital employees with regards to clinical education and training programs.
- Provides educational offerings through a variety of media including lectures, written materials, on-line presentations, role-playing and other media, as appropriate.
- Complies with education-related record keeping requirements.
- Assists with development of policies and procedures, related to clinical education programs.
- Maintains current working knowledge of Federal, State, and Joint Commission requirements as applied to development and implementation of educational programs.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelors in Nursing or within 1 year of hire.
Required Experience:
- 3 years of nursing experience
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with analysis and interpretation of federal, state, and accrediting body regulations; Experience in use of performance improvement-related statistics in evaluating program effectiveness.
- Experience with development and implementation of clinical education programs required including experience in formal program evaluation.
