What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sitter | Float Personnel | Day position at UF Health?
Overview : Full Time Position
7am-7pm
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, sits with patients to provide a safe environment for individuals who need constant observation. The sitter will provide only basic care needed for activities of daily living and diversionary activities.
Qualifications :
Required Education : High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Licensure / Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Necessary Skills :
1. Ability to write / read in English.
2. Knowledge of standard precautions.
3. Ability to recognize emergency situations.
4. Ability to maintain confidentiality and awareness of ethical and legal responsibilities.
