UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking a intermediate level Linux Administrator to join the Infrastructure & Communication Technology team within UFIT.
Competitive candidates will be self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn with outstanding communication skills. You will lead medium sized projects and coordinate small teams responsible for maintenance, installation, configuration, and deployment of enterprise-wide infrastructure and software systems.

Full-time TEAMS employees accrue vacation leave at a rate of 6.769 hours biweekly/22 days annually and sick leave at 4 hours biweekly/13 days annually. In addition, employees are eligible for ten paid holidays each year.
Vacation-accruing TEAMS employees are eligible for four personal leave days/32 hours per year, assuming full-time status. These leave days may allow units to close from December 26 to 31, when possible, determined on a unit-by-unit basis.

- Provide input, advice, and recommendations on enterprise systems administration and management technologies.

- Experience in Installation, Architecture/Design, and Management of Enterprise Application Infrastructure in large-scale environments using on-premises and cloud deployments.
- Experience with automation, scripting, and configuration management systems such as: Puppet, Ansible, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, and Python.
- Knowledge of load balancer appliances, policies, and virtual server load balancing.
- Exposure to Large scale Linux System management with the ability to perform in-depth troubleshooting.
- Experience with monitoring systems experience such as: Nagios, Zabbix.
