The Athlete Development Coordinator plays a key role in executing key Athlete Development initiatives. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Athlete Development and supports the conception, development, and implementation of strategies that will enhance UFC’s reputation as the home of the world’s best athletes among key internal and external stakeholders.
- Serves as a liaison between UFC athletes, managers and UFC staff.
- Coordinates the logistics of UFC athlete appearances, sponsorships, and activations.
- Tracks and internally messages UFC athlete appearances, sponsorships, and activations.
- Provides on-site support in the execution of UFC athlete appearances during UFC event weeks.
- Supports Athlete Development’s leadership in the offering of educational resources to UFC athletes.
- Contributes to the maintenance and development of the well-being of UFC athletes both inside and outside of competition.
- Researches and develops innovative ways to ensure UFC athletes are on the cutting edge with regards to the competition process.
- Performs other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned.
You Have These:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Sports Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with a professional sports team, league or agency capacity.
- Proven track record of working with athletes in a professional setting.
- Excellent customer service attitude, experience and capacity.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidential information.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability and willingness to obtain a passport and travel both domestically and internationally.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook and the ability to learn other basic computer skills.
