UFC’s Internship Program is designed to provide interns the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they have gained through their academic experience in a real-world corporate setting. Over the course of the program, the interns will become fully immersed in the daily operations of their department and will be directly involved with tasks and projects that contribute to UFC’s continued growth.
UFC’s Internship Program is open to any student who is currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program. This is an in-person internship in Las Vegas, NV. UFC does not provide relocation, housing, or transportation assistance.
- Learns the process medical claims processing for athletes, including coordination of efforts between individual service providers and insurance companies.
- Assists with athlete injury reports, medical condition status, and claims information.
- Supports research efforts for local trauma hospitals and EMT services in advance of each event.
- Assists with organization of athlete files and records.
- Coordinates different aspects of scheduling of appointments for athletes, provides updates pertaining to injury and licensure requirements.
- Updating company database on all athletes’ medical records.
- Attends weigh-ins and occasional events to assist in coordination of treatment for athletes.
- Becomes familiar with company confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
- Other related duties as assigned.
You Have These:
- Must be enrolled in a degree program; Junior, Senior, or Graduate level is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Outgoing, friendly personality with excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidential information.
- Team player.
- Willing to learn and grow.
