The Administrative Assistant - Sale Support or Sales Coordinator is responsible for interacting with existing customers, primarily by phone and email, to increase sales and provide excellent customer service and support. Provides support to customers and account managers by maintaining frequent communication with both and by helping troubleshoot problems. Coordinates with production and shipping teams as required to meet customer expectations. Works under general supervision; A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required; Relies on pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains frequent communication with customer base and account managers.
- Solicits sales orders from existing customers via phone and/or email.
- Works with account managers to facilitate customer requests and to solve customer problems.
- Maintains positive relationships with distributors and inventory locations.
- Works with Product Managers to enhance sales programs.
- Enters sales orders, stock transfers, and purchase orders as required.
- Coordinates with production and shipping teams as required to meet customer expectations.
- Assists with managing inventory levels at on-site and off-site locations based on customer needs.
- Coordinates stock transfers into managed yards at off site locations.
- Prepares various reports and correspondence as required.
- Performs other duties as required.
