Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team at UFP Industries. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a variety of records, participate in special projects, and perform technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.
- Perform routine tasks and duties, including scheduled preventative maintenance as assigned by a supervisor.
- Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery using various tools.
- Possess knowledge of OSHA requirements as they pertain to daily activities.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High School graduate or GED required.
- 1-2 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Must possess a valid state driver's license.
- Able to read and understand basic machine schematics with little guidance.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Familiarity with hand tools and troubleshooting equipment.
- Able to use hydraulic equipment, pneumatic equipment, presses, cordless drills, clamps, and other small tools in a safe and effective manner.
