Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Material Transport Specialist to join our team at UFP Industries. This role plays a crucial part in the movement of materials within our facility, ensuring efficient transportation of goods from inventory to production and back again.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate paperwork and production records
- Transfer finished products from the production area to the finished goods inventory yard or warehouse
- Assist production teams with material needs and bottlenecks
- Perform general preventive maintenance on equipment
- Complete pre-shift startup equipment checks and report any issues or concerns
Qualifications
- Minimum 9th grade basic education (high school diploma or GED preferred)
- No prior experience necessary, forklift driving experience is a plus
- Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques is desired
- Successful completion of the Forklift Driver licensing process required
- Must be at least 18 years old
